It took a while but Kireoki was finally approaching her homeland, Gyondou. It had been a while since she last stepped on Gyondouran soil and she always noticed how much she actually missed her home. Travelling was great and she always discovered new things about the outside world but this was the country she grew up in and where her parents lived.
She was just about to pass the border when she noticed that a few Kazazura soldiers seemed to be agitated by something or someone, so she decided to take a closer look. The Kazazura where the clan that currently ruled Gyondou after they won the last Devotion War and claimed rulership over Gyondou until the next one - which could approach soon since the current Heiress of the Cave Mother was about to reach maturity. This would spark another Devotion War which meant that another clan could win and claim rulership over the country until the next Devotion War after it. Maybe her own clan, the Nezordu, would win this time? She was not too sure, however, because the Nezordu do not care as much about ruling as the other clans and never feel bad about losing a Devotion War.
Anyway, she got closer to the commotion and noticed that the Kazazura soldiers were dealing with a person or a group, she could not tell yet, of foreigners. The Kazazura were highly distrustful of outside influences and usually tried to keep Gyondou's borders as closed as possible but there were still people that tried to get in to get a view of the old, traditional country.
"I am not saying it again after this time: no permit, no entry.", one of the soldiers said, openly disgruntled by the foreigner/s.
Kireoki was just watching for now but she would probably try to help the stranger/s sooner or later.
