Video games, social media, writing, fast typing, and... well, not really anything else.

- She is incredibly scared of Tainted Essence Beings and doesn't like to go outside because of that
- Leads the lifestyle of a NEET and spends almost all of her time in front of her laptop (usually browsing the Internet) or her TF, watching shows or playing games
- Highly active on Horhsal Connect and uses it for her social interactions
- Has a bunch of online friends but as good as none offline ones
- Always being at home and not getting a lot of sunlight has made her a bit gloomy
- Would actually like to go outside and have real friends but her fears prevent that - you never know if she won't attract some Tainted Essence Beings!
- Can be pretty messy with her room but keeps herself clean
- Lives off the money of her parents and the state (they give Generators money because of their special circumstances)
- Does not care about politics one single bit
Her parents are always worried about Mirie because they know she is a Humanoid Generator and always in danger to get attacked by Tainted Essence Beings. This is why they moved away from the suburbs of Meshaven and into the inner city before helping their daughter to set up Essence damping measures so that she is always safe while at home, at least. They let her live in her own apartment but still live close by in the case anything were to happen. Considering all of this, they can be described as highly caring parents while not meddling with her private affairs too much by respecting her privacy.
Her father is part of the Meshaven guard while her mother works as a secretary in the city hall.
Mirie was just regaining her consciousness when she saw the Essence Eater - who's face was covered with purple veins, probably as a sign that she did not get enough Essence Energy to sustain her inner corruption. She was probably on the brink of becoming a Tainted Essence Being...
The young woman was too scared to say anything. Unlike most other people, who would have screamed by now, she just stayed silent while wearing a fitting expression. Why did this have to happen to her? She cursed the fact that she was born as a Humanoid Generator. If that wasn't the case, she probably would have lived a completely different life and wouldn't be in this mess.
"Don't be scared, it won't hurt too much - probably. It could also be the most horrifying experience ever.", the Essence Eater said while grinning. However, Mirie also noticed Carner and was confused why a thug - he definitely looked like one - would be here. Was this his hideout and he was annoyed by an unknown intruder? Mirie hoped he wouldn't do something stupid like attacking her since that would most definitely get him killed. She doubted that the Essence Eater wanted witnesses.
Mirie started to feel a stinging pain once the vile woman moved her hands closer. Moments after that happened, however, something heavy fell on her and knocked her out temporarily. It looked like a full box of tools and they landed directly onto her head although Mirie doubted that would actually defeat her or put her out of business for too long.
Nonetheless, she used this opportunity to get up - although her legs felt shaky - and walk towards the door.
"Ow, shit! Who did this?!", the Essence Eater was slowly getting up and looking to where Carner was. He was gone now, though, so she looked back at Mirie.
"I won't let you get away, I NEED your Essence Energy!" The Essence Eater was becoming more and more desperate now, especially once Mirie opened the door.
'Come on, faster!', she thought to herself while the Essence Eater started to pursue her.
Mirie was sitting in her room, as always. The light of her screen was the only light source inside her apartment but it was enough for her. She probably looked tired in the eyes of others, considering the rings around her eyes and her pale skin but she was used to it and didn't feel bad. While others usually slept around this time of the day, she was still awake and browsed the Internet, looking at videos or new postings in Horhsal Connect, maybe engaging in some sort of conservation here and there. Once she grew bored enough of that, she booted up a game and played for a bit. Mirie felt kinda lonely today, so she played a visual novel with romance, playing as a female protagonist who worked at an amusement park before a mysterious guy showed up and everything changed for her. Your usual mystery story with multiple guys where each one had a route depending on the choices you made.
She continued playing until chapter 2. It was really late - or early - and around 3:00, deep night. It was dark outside although there were still lights on, mostly coming from public lamps. Mirie was starting to get hungry and wanted to eat one of her favorite meals - fruit cereals. However, she noticed that the milk was empty.
"For f's sake, now I need to buy more...", she muttered to herself, furrowing her eyebrows. She could also ask her parents who lived in the same building but they were already asleep, Mirie was sure of that. Sure, she could also wait until the morning but she hated going outside during the day. There was this one store nearby that was open 24/7, so she sighed, put on her shoes, and went out to buy some damn milk - and maybe some other stuff while she was there. The less she had to go outside, the better. Sadly, she didn't notice that someone or something was watching her after she left the house.
